Russian service warns The New Times of mentioning radical group

MOSCOW, Feb 2 (PRIME) -- The Russian communications watchdog has issued a warning to The New Times magazine for mentioning Ukrainian radical organization Right Sector without indicating that the group is forbidden in Russia, the service’s press secretary Vadim Ampelonsky said late Monday.

The authority will draw an administrative protocol over the infringement, Ampelonsky said.

Right Sector unites radical national factions, whose militants participated in riots and clashes with the police in Ukraine in early 2014. Russia’s Supreme Court found the organization of a far-right extremist character and banned it in November 2014.
